I remember my maths teacher just telling me that he wants to take me to a Glo concert and maybe Don Jazzy will see me from there and sign me. He will keep telling me that he can’t wait for Mavin to sign you. This was when I was 12 0r 11”
Speaking on her big breakout, Ayra Starr confessed that she initially didn’t want to put out her original music which caught Don Jazzy’s attention. According to her, when she summoned up the courage to do so, Don Jazzy personally slid into her DM to offer her an opportunity at Mavins Record.
